WHERE THINGS STAND

Bud Hub is a cannabis delivery marketplace and logistics platform being built in Massachusetts. The model aggregates live dispensary menus via Dutchie's Storefront API, replaces iframe embeds with a custom multi-storefront UI, and coordinates deliveries through a licensed courier network.

Dutchie has already given the green light and has ready-to-go API keys for this use case. The immediate priority is formalizing that partnership, which requires demonstrating a working front end and a developer on the team. Both of those boxes are now checked.

Phase 1 is not about building everything. It is about moving fast enough that Dutchie does not lose confidence, locking in the API access, and establishing a technical foundation we can build on.

Front-End Prototype Complete
Multi-store marketplace UI with category filtering, inventory states, cart and checkout flow. Live at https://budhub.capetivate.dev, ready to show Dutchie.
Dutchie API Partnership In Progress
Verbal green light received. API keys available. Needs formal completion with a developer confirmed on the team and working front end demonstrated.
Back-End Order Flow + Dispatch Up Next
Order routing from customer checkout to dispensary, driver dispatch interface, and lightweight GPS tracking to replace OnFleet for Phase 1.

PHASE ONE DELIVERABLES

01
Dutchie API Integration Meeting
Join the Dutchie partnership call as your technical lead. Understand exactly what API access is being offered, ask the right questions about menu sync, checkout handling, and partner permissions. Come back with a clear picture of what we can build with what they give us before scoping further.
Priority - Unlocks Everything
02
Front-End Marketplace UI
Working prototype already deployed. Covers multi-store browsing with store toggle, category and search filtering, product grid with real inventory states, cart management, and a full checkout flow including delivery info and order confirmation. Branding updated to Bud Hub. Ready to demo.
Complete
03
Back-End Order Flow
Visual and functional mock of what happens from order placed to driver dispatch. Covers order routing to the dispensary, operator dashboard for managing incoming orders, and the handoff to the delivery layer. Shapes how we build the real thing once Dutchie API access is confirmed.
In Build
04
Lightweight Dispatch + GPS Tracking
Custom-built alternative to OnFleet for Phase 1 using Apple developer API and AirTag integration. Driver phones check in, GPS pings back to the dashboard, operator sees live vehicle location. Avoids the $500+/month subscription until scale justifies it. Fully owned infrastructure.
Phase 1
05
Retailer Onboarding + Menu Sync
Lightweight onboarding flow for partner dispensaries. Retailer provides Dutchie API credentials, normalization layer maps their product taxonomy to the Bud Hub unified schema, menu goes live. Target: under 30 minutes per retailer from signup to live inventory.
Post-Dutchie Meeting

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

This is not a standard project. The scope evolves as Dutchie defines what their API allows. Rather than locking you into a large fixed contract before we know what we are building, we work in flexible hourly blocks that renew as needed.

Full Build Range
$30-120K
Depending on scope once Dutchie access is confirmed and Phase 2 is defined.
  • $30-40K, Core platform, Phase 1 stores
  • $60-80K, Full marketplace + retailer portal
  • $80-120K, Soup to nuts, all integrations
  • $2-4K/month retainer post-launch
  • No equity, no lock-in
The hourly block model means you are not buying a full build before we know what Dutchie gives us. Once we are out of that meeting and the API scope is clear, we will put together a fixed-scope Phase 2 proposal. At that point you can decide to move forward, adjust scope, or pause. No pressure either way.

THE ROAD AHEAD

Now
Proposal Accepted + Retainer Initiated
Sign off on Phase 1 scope. Igor joins the Dutchie API meeting as technical lead. Back-end order flow mock delivered before or during that meeting.
Week 1-2
Dutchie API Meeting + Scope Lock
Meet with Dutchie, confirm API access and capabilities. Walk away knowing exactly what we can build and what the constraints are. Phase 2 scope and fixed proposal delivered within a week of that meeting.
Week 2-4
Live Menu Sync + Checkout Integration
Plug Dutchie API into the existing front end. Real inventory from New Dia Fenway and Worcester loading into the marketplace. Checkout flow connected to Dutchie's processing layer. Dispatch interface for operators live.
Month 2+
GPS Tracking, Onboarding + Growth
Lightweight dispatch and tracking live for 2 vehicles. Retailer onboarding portal allows new dispensaries to go live in under 30 minutes. Platform ready to scale across Massachusetts.
